This is exciting!

Betrayed, by award-winning author Brendan DuBois, is selling!  I have no idea what's considered good sales in this arena, but I'm encouraged!  If you like a well constructed thriller, with a twist of conspiracy and a full shot of terrifying plausibility, you'll love this one.
The Stillness of Winter, by new author Vincent Watson, should be coming out this week or next, at the latest!  This is a love story from the man's perspective, and brought some twists that I sure didn't see coming!   Keep your eyes on my FaceBook page or here, because I'll definitely let you know when it's available.
Book # 3, Shattered, on the Edge of Insanity, by Jason Wallace, is moving along nicely.  This is a mystery about a lawyer who wakes up in a mental hospital accused of murdering his only child.  I'm a third of the way through it and should have it ready to go by mid-November!
Book # 4, www.whatif, by new author Joe Dutcher, is sitting comfortably in the wings right now, and gives me yet another challenge.  This one takes the "what if" concept to the max, so stay tuned!!

Betrayed now available

My first audio book, Betrayed by Brendan DuBois, is now available on audible.com, Amazon, and iTunes.  The book has received good reviews; I'm hoping my audio rendition will be equally well received.

Rock 'N Roll!

Best-selling/award winning author Brendan DuBois has accepted/approved my recording of his book, Betrayed.  It's now in QA and should be available soon. Similarly, author Vincent Watson approved my recording of his book, The Stillness of Winter, and it's in QA, hopefully to be available soon. I'm working on book # 3, Shattered, on the Edge of Insanity. by Jason Wallace.  He's approved the first 15 minutes, which is done to make sure my style, etc matches the author's ideas, so I've already submitted the first 2 chapters.  I've also just submitted the first 15 minutes of www.whatif  for the author to approve. 
Definitely making progress here, and feeling good about it. Here's hoping they sell!!

When it rains, it pours!!

Shortly after posting the update last evening I received another offer to record a book I had auditioned for several weeks ago!  The blessing here is that both new projects are ones I really wanted to do, and I'm comfortable taking on 2 projects concurrently.  The newest project is www.whatif by Joe Dutcher and should be a fun read.

Another new book to record!

Well, yesterday I finished book # 2, The Stillness of Winter by Jason Watson.   It's now in his hands (ears?) for final review.  Today I auditioned for several more and, just this evening, received an offer to record Shattered, On the Edge of Insanity by Jason Wallace.  My first book, Betrayed by Brendon DuBois, is also in final review and, hopefully, will be available soon!  I must admit that this new chapter in my life is very gratifying, and I'm thankful for the opportunity.

Not always easy...is it?

As we all know, things are never as easy as we had hoped!  After discovering that I had to unlearn some things from the way we did them in the talking books program, I had to make minor changes on my recording of Betrayed, which set things back a tad!  But I'm happy to say that it's now in the hands of the author for his final review.  Hopefully it'll pass muster!
That said, I'm more than a third through my second book, The Stillness of Winter, and should have that ready for the author in about 2 weeks!
Looking ahead for the next project, I've been researching ACX for other opportunities and just submitted an audition today, and have another 3 or 4 that I'll get uploaded tomorrow!

Alright...just got the "go ahead" on my second book, "The Stillness of Winter" by Vincent Watson.  It's definitely a different kind of read for me, a love story from the man's perspective, so should be interesting.  Stay tuned...more to follow!
